Mr Adam Poole
Adam Poole is a Senior Manager at Kinapse Ltd, a life sciences consulting and services business based in Europe and India, where he specialises in organisational structure and design, medical governance, and study management. Adam trained in medicine in London, obtaining the MRCS in 1999. He has experience of the pharmaceutical industry having worked with GlaxoSmithKline, advising its business development group on commercialising its products. He has a broad portfolio of writing and speaking engagements. Adam has authored two books, including How to get a job in medicine (Churchill Livingstone, 2005).

Mr Eddie Chaloner
Eddie Chaloner is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon at Lewisham Hospital NHS Trust, London, where he runs a busy NHS and private practice. Previously he worked at University College Hospital, London. He qualified as a doctor at Oxford University in 1989 and trained in surgery in London and South Africa.
As a registrar he spent extensive time in the developing world working with the HALO Trust, an organisation involved with landmine clearance, and with Médecins Sans Frontières. He has also served with 23 Parachute Field Ambulance of the British Army in Rwanda, Kosovo, and Bosnia.
Mr Paul Thorpe
Paul Thorpe is a Consultant Spinal and Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Somerset Spinal Surgery Service, Taunton. His elective practice is mainly spine surgery. He was involved in setting up a limited liability partnership, in which anaesthetists and orthopaedic surgeons work directly with purchasers to provide orthopaedic services using existing NHS facilities. He qualified from Leicester University in 1991 and has worked in Australia as well as the UK. He was Chair of the Junior Doctors Committee of the British Medical Association from 2002–3, leading campaigns such as negotiating contracts for junior doctors. He is married with four children. His other interests include rugby, cricket, skiing, organisational psychology, and health systems.
