Primary care clinicians deal with the social and health consequences of widening health inequalities on a daily basis, and the government has commissioned Sir Michael Marmot to investigate why their health inequalities targets are not being met. Using the example of a scheme in Stoke on Trent, our keynote speaker will make a case for those in primary care to tackle this issue and will explore links between inequalities in health and the quality agenda.
