GP General Update

Mental Health: Overview

In this interactive Mental Health Masterclass, our expert speakers will bring you up-to-date in 6 key areas of mental health, using case-based scenarios to demonstrate how you can diagnose and manage a range of conditions in your practice.

One in four adults and one in 10 children experience mental illness, and it is estimated that around 40% of all GP consultations involve mental health conditions. Managing these complex situations and offering effective support within the 10 minute consultation is crucial, but can be an acute challenge for a busy GP.

We’ll also cover how to identify red-flags, when and where to refer and how you can work together with your patients to improve outcomes in their physical and mental health.
