He has been a member of NICE Asthma and COPD Guidelines and Quality Standards Committees and is current  steering committee member of the National COPD Audit and british Thoracic Society Bronchiectasis Guidelines Committee. He is a GpwSI in Sports Medicine and a former medical officer at Bath Rugby Club/ British Army rugby team.
