What will this session cover?

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a major cause of mortality and morbidity and is largely managed in primary care. UK Guidelines have not kept pace with recent pharmacology developments and there is a large degree of confusion in pharmacological management.

This webinar will outline the existing  NICE COPD Guidelines, the Global Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) pharmacological Guidelines and how they have influenced current pharmacological management of COPD  in the United Kingdom. Expert speaker Dr Gruffydd-Jones will suggest a practical algorithm for managing COPD primary care and also reinforce the holistic management of COPD.

After this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the role of non pharmacological treatments in COPD Management
  • Feel confident about the place of various pharmacological treatments in the management of COPD
